One out of every 10 births includes a child born prematurely, before the 37th week, when their lungs and heart have not yet matured! This ratio is global, and northern Syria is no exception.
Through this campaign, we aim to provide the care given in the first ``golden hour`` after birth to 500 newborns in northern Syria, due to its utmost importance for the health of newborns for the rest of their lives.
This campaign is also ZAKAT ELIGIBLE. By donating to this campaign you will be fulfilling your Zakat obligations Insha'Allah.
Why do we Want you to Intervene?!
You can give a healthy life to deprived newborns exposed to complications that could last a lifetime, such as cerebral palsy, cognitive impairments, vision and hearing problems, in addition to behavioral and psychological issues.
As we engage in our life, let us remember with mercy those little ones who are struggling between life and death in intensive care units, barely breathing while the hearts of mothers and fathers unable to afford their children's treatment in private hospitals are breaking.
These little ones deserve a chance at life regardless of being born into poor and often displaced families.
The lack of medical facilities in northern Syria and the widening gap between what is available and what is needed forces us to choose between children in acceptance cases, often transferring the infant from one hospital to another in search of a bed, all of which weakens their chance of survival.
Here, in these critical times at the beginning of their lives, we want you to intervene!
Reproductive and Neonatal Health Services
Based on our strong belief in the rights of every mother and child to have a chance for a safe birth, we have supported both Al-Ikhaa Hospital and Muaaz Abu Mahdi Hospital as the best investment in reproductive health and care for newborns.
Our contribution has helped reduce infectious diseases and the transmission of diseases from mother to child, thus promoting public health in the community. We have also provided support to thousands of mothers and families during pregnancy and postpartum, helping to enhance family communication and address health and social issues within the family.
We have worked closely in neonatal intensive care units to ensure a healthy and sustainable start to the lives of our little ones, leading to a reduction in mortality rates from preventable health problems and enhancing quality of life.
